The Hamburger Kunsthalle is one of the leading art museums in Europe. Opened in 1869, it is now home to one of the most significant public art collections in Germany. The exhibits span eight centuries from the Middle Ages to the present day.
The presentations of the collection and the special exhibitions developed from the collection find their setting in regular exhibition openings.
